Why is this coin's gregorian date put to 1980, when it's clearly written on the coin itself 1979 in latin numbers?

Also when I put the claimed hebrew date on the coin 5740 into a calendar converter, I get also 1979, not 1980.

Also in the same coin description there is:

“Obverse

The face value "100 Lirot". Below the emblem of the State of Israel. The word "Israel" in Hebrew, Arabic and English. The mint year 1979 and corresponding Hebrew year 5740 engraved in Hebrew letters.”

Am I missing something here, why is this coins year put (wrongly?) to 1980?

Because the date conversion is automatic and sometimes it may be a year off. A post on the coin catalog will get it fixed by Admin.

 I changed 1980 to 1979 now. Thanks
