Valuable rotation error?

Hello,

I found a 1999 france 2€ coin which has a rotation error of about 70 degrees. I can’t find any info about it and the little information I do has drastically different price evaluation.

Any help to find its rarity and rough value would be much appreciated.

Rotation errors (actually most errors) add value to valuable coins, unless you specifically collect errors - and there are not many people who specialises just on errors alone.

Its value is 2€, redeemable and spendable in any business (in exchange of goods and services) throughout the Euro zone. Or what you can sell it for, the sky is your limit - but it’s value is 2€.

In 150 years when the majority of these coins have been destroyed, that is when this error will add a slight value. Assuming people still collect coins in 150 years time!

Sorry I know this is not what you want to hear, but it is the truth. As a newly registered member, I hope you use this website to collate, learn and increase your collection.

I fully agree with @King. I have quite a few rotation error coins in my collection just for my own fun, well knowing they have no special value.

At least this one looks like a true rotation error, and not someone twisting the inner core. First one I see on a euro coin, but then I am not specifically looking for it.

thanks guys
