I just got this silver denarius of Trajan but it’s bulging out in some areas and I would like to hear the public’s opinion on why it is the way it is. I suspect that maybe it has a copper core which is corroding from the inside out causing the silver plating to bulge outwards, but the coin itself sounds and feels pretty solid all the way through, so I’m not entirely sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
