Unknown Small Medal

Please could anyone identify this small medal.

Not sure if I can shed some light on this one, but it appears like a bearded gentleman in a wild west America clothing  with a ten gallon hat, oval shaped medal but does not look like silver. Not sure what the reverse looks like but could she'd more light on ID for this item.

Some well known Spaniard and enemy of windmills is sometimes depicted that way.

You can find him on Spanish one peseta note from 1951 or commemorative 2 Spanish euros from 2005
