I have a coin that is supposed to be bi-metallic, but it appears to be entirely brass, with just the slightest color difference between the inner and outer sections.  Is it just so clean that I can't tell the difference, or do I have a special one?  I can't seem to find anything online about its existence.

What are the two metals in this coin? Here is the coin page, so you can that and answer your own question.

I know the metals of the coin.  But that doesn't answer my question.

If you don't know you don't have to say anything.  No need to be rude.

It is indeed made entirely our of Nickel-Brass with a slight copper and nickel content difference between the two segments. The outer ring is a tat lighter then the core. With time and oxidation the differences will most likely be a bit more obvious.

You have a coin that is bimetallic, but you thought it was made of entirely brass. You thought your coin was special because you could only see a slight difference between the 2 metal parts. And finally you couldn’t find anything online about the coins existence. Your question was do I have a special one?

A. No you do not have a special one, the two metals in this bimetallic coin are made of the same metal, Nickel Brass within Nickel Brass, the „slight difference you see“ is due to the slightly different amounts of Nickel and Brass (copper zinc) in the inner ring compared to the outer ring.

I asked you what the two metals in the coin are, so you wouldn’t get embarrassed at the answer when it came, so that you could see that the metals are the same, but with a slight difference in composition - resulting in what you see, and thus answering your own question. All this information is on the coin page. But you now say you know the metals in the coin, so why were you asking why the same metals in a bimetallic coin look the same? I can only assume that you first believed that the coin had two different metals, and thus your coin was special - but if you knew the metals, looked at the coin page, realised that Nickel Brass looks like Nickel Brass - you wouldn’t have needed to ask the question in this post.

If my original answer read as being rude, I apologise sincerely and I can only emphasise that my words are just words, how you read and interpret them is down to you and your own mind. After all I didn’t read your question and think it was stupid. I just thought you made a wrong assumption of the metals and I wanted you to see your mistake without making a big deal out of it. If I interpreted your question wrongly then a better and more comprehensive explanation should have been given.

So the reality was because I was trying to be nice and not to embarrass you with your obvious mistake (no one is obliged to answer your forum question as you point out), you call me rude. Next time I’ll just ignore your question and you can continue to not „find anything online about (your special coins) existence“.

This is why I was asking if it was just in like-new condition.  Every other one I've seen had a very obvious difference.  Thanks.

King, I'm sorry that I misinterpreted the tone of your original response.  I've been collecting for most of my life, but I'm pretty new to Numista and the forum, and while transferring my collection from another site, I've noticed a couple things with my coins that made me think.  So I thought I'd turn to the experts here for answers.
