I have a 50 Centavos 1926 coin with a diagonal stripe in a kind of stamp, and I haven't found any reference to whether it's a variant or not. Does anyone know what it is?

 A stack of coins was held together by an elastic band - for some time. 

The first and last have the stripe across, and the rest just down the edge. 

 Or - may be some other reason.
