if there are/were any designed elongated circulatory coins ever made. Not ruined pennies that’s been stretched that is. Haven’t seen any in my fairly large collection. I did however get this Danish tram transport token some years ago. Wonder if there’s more elongated tokens out there? If so, please post pictures of them. 🤔🙂
Many of the items listed are just oval in shape, not pressed, or stretched as you say.
Oval is fine, just like any other shape. “elongated” we used to make as children, putting coins on tram rails and they are PMD, no matter how much someone want them to be something they are not.
You both had your chance to voice your opinions before they were accepted but didn't. Too late now to change that.
I was hardly threading my way through Numista at the time and didn't have a clue about “elongated” whatever.
Saying “too late to change” is how things become irrelevant in this ever changing world!
Let me rephrase for you, “too late now to change the outcome of that suggestion to include elongated coins.” You can always submit a new suggestion to remove elongated coins from the catalog. If you feel that strongly then speak up where your voice will be heard.

What of the types in which a blank planchet was used?
Why is there so much hostility toward the elongated coins that people actively wants to remove them from the catalog? I don't like nor collect them particularly, I have about five such pieces. But why go through the bother to remove thousands of items that probably a lot of people worked to upload and catalog and probably cares about? If someone doesn't like these, no one forces them to look at them, but that's not a reason for deletion. Are those represent a lot of numismatic value? No, obviously not. But neither the 0 Euro banknotes, anything from Niue or just 90% of the exonummia section. Should we start delete those just because someone (including myself) doesn't like or collect those?
We're moving away from the original intention of this thread (guilty myself). Which is elongated/oval coins, not another back-and-forth about tokens despite the mention of tokens in the title. Though I'll let @cent confirm that.

I believe the question (Hi. I would like to know if there are/were any designed elongated circulatory coins ever made) was answered here https://en.numista.com/forum/topic173482.html#p1319316 hence the status change to Solved by the OP.
Sorry, I should have said ‘oval’ coins rather the elongated ones, as ‘elongated’ suggests PMD. Oval circulation coins apart from tokens dont seem to have ever been minted. 🤔

Did you miss my first post where I showed they were in fact minted?
