Hi

I received this 20 Pence in a job lot that I got from abroad and I’m not sure if this is a clipped planchet or just damage. A 20p does seem to fit in the affected area but I’m unsure as I’ve rarely encounter clipped planchet coins especially on non round coins.

Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

I'm not sure.

The coins with clipped planchets that I've seen do not look like that.

The clipped part was  smooth.

Hi ,

I think these coins are chipped due to prolonged use and friction. Lother

Thanks for the responses, I was faintly thinking it too due to the rough edge and the other two clipped coins I own, have smooth edges on the clipped area.
