Advice on checking authenticity of larger Chinese cash coins

Hi folks 

can anyone advise me or give me pointers on how to check if larger Chinese cash coins are genuine or counterfeit. I’ll post some examples here.

As an advice, you can check your larger cash coins with the reference book of David Hartill : “Cast chinese coins”. You will find inside, in Qing dynasty, Xian Feng, perhaps enough examples scale 1 to be compared with your examples.

For starters compare the diameter and weight to a real one. Then compare to pictures of real ones.  If unsure then ask for help from experts.

Here's the first one: N#225811 The one pictured sold for US $72,000 a couple of years ago. That should give you an idea if yours is a copy.
