I have a 1945 year UK half crown and it's not available in the options.

Probably because it's supposed to be KM856

Good news is that means you've got a silver half-crown, not a cu-ni one
Oh OK! I just signed on the site - it's tough to work! Also the chart at the bottom I don't know how to work it!? Also I have a few very rare-looking coins I'm interested in knowing about - can I post here in the forum?
Yeah, stick any coins you can't work out into the "coin identification and valuation" section of the forums.  There's alway somebody knowledgeable that can help you out.

As for the chart at the bottom, I assume you mean the little check boxes beside the mintage years.  you just click in the box beside the year that you own and the grade of coin you have and enter the number of coins you have.  So you would go to 1945 and go across to F-VF, whatever you think your coin is and just a type "1" in the appropriate box
Thanks for the help!

You could use the Search on top left, and I typed  half crown 1945  and above are the results. Sometimes more that one coin is shown, like those two results include a New Zealand coin as well, but it eliminates lots of coins and makes it easier to find.  :)
Though maybe you did use Search, as I see 1949 in title but you show 1945 coin, as 1949 is KM 879

Go ahead and ask about coins in Identifications and Valuations and welcome to the site.
When I do a search, I simply use "nation year" in the search field, and it works for me 95% of the time.
