After some serious thought, I am offering this coin for sale. I am asking $350.00. I will ship via registered mail to the buyer of the coin.
I could not find the coin in Krause, and was told that it was in a catalog printed by a private collector some years ago. I could not find a copy of that catalog.
I understand this coin is relatively rare, but I was unable to determine what the actual mintage was.
Hmm - I think it's way overpriced, just recently saw one in better condition sell for 150€ at a French coin auction.

Well...lots of people do, do that. It takes a while to discover everything. I am tired but if there's a bad breach, I have been known to jump out of bed and get logged on to sort out the problem. Day and night; this moderating business!

For this condition nobody in France will give you more than 50€.
A collection of essais have to be done in a FDC or XF grade at list cause they are supposed to not be damaged.
