I went to the flea market today to make a payment for a coin I've got on layaway. Of course, I couldn't not look at other coins as well. Once the payment was made, I went to one of the two other coin shops I usually visit.
Right as soon as I saw it, I bought it. I guess my hoarder instinct kicked in. It was marked $4.50 and I got it for $4.00 which was a nice little bargain for me. Then when I got home I looked at the price. A whopping $60.00 in VF. I could hardly believe my eyes. Now, I realize my coin is no VF, but what would a reasonable value be?
Along with the shilling, I also bought this right away:
I know this is a meat ration and it's sitting happily in my U.S. Tokens collection, but what is it worth?
And finally here are some I'm not so sure about. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Based on the information written on the holder, the first one is a Korean Mon. The second is anyone's guess. Numista pages and values?
Thanks in advance! :)
[EDIT] Two more:
I noticed this coin has a (relatively) low mintage at 250,000 and is not in the NGC Price Guide. Any ideas of the value?
This one is the same on both sides. I've only found the 1 Pfennig coin like it in my internet searches. Super rarity or hidden on the second page of Google?
I wouldn't say the British coin is worth a lot. I'd probably put it at a low VG (but admittedly I don't know British coins very well) and my Krause catalogue has an F at $18. However, my Krause catalogue is also from 2009 and has the VF as 35 instead of 60.
So basically just ignore my answer and wait for one of the Brits to answer instead.
A shilling like that would normally retail at £5-£10, so it is a nice find. I don't have a clue how Kenny wants them organised in the catalogue, but the Korean one appears to be something like this, but series 5.

As for the 10 pfennig, you often have to do a lot of searching to find information on the scarcer notgeld types, so don't get your hopes too high. Even if it were a rarity, the price of these tokens are not very high.

About the Korean coin, the series within a type is denoted by the bottom character on the reverse, in the case 五, or five. This series isn't yet catalogued.

I just bought a s**tload of stamps yesterday (tons of rare ones too) so I've been pretty occupied. What I can tell you about the Korean coin is that it is a 5 mun. The character on the top means "value of".

I would say so. But like all WW2 stuff it is what someone will pay you for it, I am trying to get a full set. I know I have a chance to get a full set of blue ones for about 34 dollars.
