Definitely not a replica. The wear on the coin is exactly how it should be.
It isn't known exactly why the coins say Sichuan province on the reverse, but I think it's because they were issued there and sent to the Tibetian region. Nevertheless, it's a rare coin that my friend's been hunting down for a year and a half now. Lucky you.

Hi Kenny and Buddies again - I have purchased the Tibet rupee coin and cracked my head for almost 2 hours but couldn't find out the pattern and the currency of the coin, whether it's 1/2 or 1/4 rupee or Sichuan-Tibet trade rupee?
