Definitely not a replica. The wear on the coin is exactly how it should be.

It isn't known exactly why the coins say Sichuan province on the reverse, but I think it's because they were issued there and sent to the Tibetian region. Nevertheless, it's a rare coin that my friend's been hunting down for a year and a half now. Lucky you.

Why always a replica ? :.
it's possible that a person has a old silver coin, and it isn't always a replica 8)

Hi-five buddy. ;)

But it's good to be skeptical. You can't always assume a coin is real, although this one is definitely real.

I have a smaller one.....

19mm, 2.33g

1/4 Rupee? or......
Now that one might be a fake.

The strike is too weak. But the best way to check is the reeding. If it's inconsistent, it's fake.

Hi Kenny and Buddies again - I have purchased the Tibet rupee coin and cracked my head for almost 2 hours but couldn't find out the pattern and the currency of the coin, whether it's 1/2 or 1/4 rupee or Sichuan-Tibet trade rupee?
What year is it exactly?
@eazy.dog=> You sure it's 1902? It's a complicated design to identify. Prakash  8)  ;)
