Swapping coins within USA

I am new for Numista.

I would like to know if it is legal to send old Foreign coins within the USA through USPS? If yes, does it require any special packaging?

Any tips?

I don't think it's illegal to send/receive numismatic items in USA. Lot of us do it all the time.

Packing wise yes, you need to pack it in such a way that it stays inside the package and does not come out while in transit. Preferably does not make any noise inside the package. You can wrap them in paper then stick it to some card-board or think paper and ship them in a bubble postage envelop.
