I have literally hundreds of France 10 Franc coins (those brown ones), 1, 5 and 25 peseta coins, 10 groschen coins, you all know them. What can I do with them? I've swapped some of them to date collectors, but that's just a drop on a burning plate. I packed them in plastic bags and used them for weight lifting, but I now have real dumbbells, so that's not necessary anymore either.
List them on eBay? Is anyone interested in hundreds of the same coins, taking into account the considerable shipping costs? Any ideas?

Remodel your house by building a new wall out of coins...
Hand them out as presents to strangers..
Run through the streets at night throwing coins into the street...
Take them to the police and tell them you found them. Give me a day to turn in a report that I lost them...
Find a vending machine that will accept them and buy 10,000 gumballs...
Sponsor a "Coin Toss" event for youths and let them throw the coins in a river. Write it off as a tax deduction...
Donate them to a local church....
Find someone you don't like and give them to him/her as a "gift from the heart"...
Sell one pound bags of mixed coins on eBay...
Glue them all together and sell it as modern art...
Leave them as a tip at your favorite restaurant...
Start at one end of town and lay the coins side by side and see how far you get...
Practice different methods of cleaning coins...

You can pay with the 10 francs, people usually won't notice, how did you think I built my collection up, started with **** who paid with that kind of money, instead of euro

Well, postage is more than 10 euro's , and that's only for Europe. And I can't imagine being able to pay with them. A couple of years ago I wanted to pay with the large 10 new pence coins in the UK, but they didn't accept that either. So Hippo, it seems you're the only one that doesn't notice ;).
I don't know 200 kids, hell, I don't even know 10. Wouldn't want to anyway, kids are too loud :-)
There's a recycling company nearby, they accept metals too. Seems kinda sacrilege though...
I heard about a guy that glued coins to his car. Completely covered it in coins. Looked pretty cool. You could put advertising on it and get paid while you drive.

I'm sure there would be people who would buy it off e-bay. The kind of guys that collect errors/varieties/dates/mintmarks etc would be interested in getting bulk amounts of the same coins to sort through.
I have such a rule that even the most popular coins are not cast out, because I know that even they will one day be worth it.
and besides, just a moment to think .. just a few people will throw a few hundred of these coins, and these coins have become rarer;)
Also I think it is worth to collect the coins .. and if after all you do not know what to do is just send them to me, I am for all the coins I find the place: D
ps. sorry for my english (i don't speak english very well, and I often use the translator )
Thanks for all suggestions guys, I guess I'll be holding on to them a little longer. I very much like the idea of glueing them to my car, but I don't think my boss will like it, as it is a company car
If you do plan on weighing them in for their metal value I would advise sorting them in the various types as they will be worth more as supposed to mixed metals. However it's not something I would as they will become more valuable because people do scrap them and use them for various other things which can only make them more collectable. As previously mentioned they are great for upcoming collectors as a starting point being so easily to get hold of.
