Currency not found on site

I want to add a coin to the site but  the currency is not on the site.

It is South Korea hwan

It is possible to add your coin on the site's database.
After a search, when you find a result, you can see at the end of the "found list" the following sentence :

Verweis A coin doesn't exist in the catalog yet? Add it yourself!

Click on Add it yourself! and you will be able to create a new coin in the database.
In your case, you will choose South Korea in the list of countries.

I am aware how to add a new coin. However the South Korea currency on this site is WON and the currency I have is different it is HWAN. As far as I can tell I can't add a New currency and that was my question.

You're right as I just saw in Wikipedia.

Isn't it a sub-unit of won ? (like the cent for the dollar)
It doesn't seem , so you should ask to Le site / The website section of the forum and choose the forum "Numista".
Then you should ask to add a new currency for South Korea.

Choose "Other" at the end of the currency list. Then write the currency name in the box that appear.
