A florin I can't believe is losing by the way ! Although the New Guinea pennies are nice.. I think people are blinkered by the fact its
A) a standard holed coin.
B) an Edward VIII issue.
Neither are really anything special. I have copies of both that are as nice if not better than the two there. I tried to enter my Edward VIII penny but was told that there was already one entered. Whoever wins is going to get an Aussie florin probably worth more than the coin they've entered.

It just goes to show that it's not the most expensive coin that wins. That sovereign could probably buy all the other coins in the Pacific category, but it was just too battered to go through. Those florins really are pretty cheap. I got the holy trinity the other day for $25 (1927 Canberra florin, 1951 federation florin and 1954 royal visit florin), all in XF
