Do not argue with ignorant people .. !! They will drag you down to their level, then pulverize you with experience ...
And so how we can send the coins each other?
first of all it's guy probably, but if you send by registered from Latvia, specify it as token, gift and value under 2.00 Euro, it should help. I swapped with Latvia twice, no problems with unregistered from my side and registered (the way as described above) from their.

When swapping with Latvia I would advise you to swap registered only. I don't know if it's because I'm a native but about 75-80% of my packages sent there were stolen. It astonishes me how everyone else has good luck when sending coins to Eastern European countries.

If you do not want to send by registered, make sure to follow these steps:
1. Do not indicate the true value of the coins when sending. I.E if the coins are worth 20 Euros just write down 1 Euro when asked for their value.
2. Package the coins in tin/aluminum foil (newspaper will be cheaper). When asked to describe the items just say that they are "metal parts" or "round metal discs". You're not lying, you're just not telling the entire truth  :P . Also, the post doesn't really care what you are sending as long as it doesn't contain hazardous material/ objects (I.E weapons, bombs.... you get the point.)

Again I do recommend you to send the coins registered, unless they are inexpensive pieces in which case you can try your luck. Most Numista members don't have problems though   8~

Good luck with your swap!

Yes sorry for that.it is guy.
The problem is that he cant send me the coins.not me
You might want to try the guidelines on Garaisjanis, He's from Latvia.

Copied from his profile.

Perfect swap 65 and 200 or 400 grams of my coins.
I always send a letter with a tracking number.

Please include coins comply with these rules, the customs declaration must be completed:
1) Do not indicate that the consignment contains Coins or Numismatic items.
It would be better to specify TOKEN.
2) Indicate that it is a GIFT
3) The value is around $ 2.00 or Euro 2.00

He has had many swaps, including me.

I swaped 4 times with Latvians and I always received coins which means that Latvians can send coins but your swap partner does not know how to do it.
My sugestion... tell your swap partner to ask other numista members from Latvia how to do it.
Just go and post from another post office and tell him to smile to the clerk before presenting the letter.

Hello! There is the same rule in Russia. Sending coins by Russian Post is forbidden, because it's money and you should send them by bank.

So, we are masking coins thoroughly as photo's, books or something else. Just attach the coins by sellotape (sticky tape) to cardboard and cover them by another piece of cardboard. The main thing - coins should not clank inside a parcel. Than at the post office I say that there is a postcards, photo's or book inside my parcel. It's better, if the weight of the parcel is less than 100 grams, because of letter more than 100 grams can be suspicious.

Almost all countries in the world forbid sending circulating money, although in Germany only once that they refused sending my coins. Most people at post office have no idea if they are modern or old coins, so since then I just write down Medals.
