Hallo!

Rather accidentally I've got the following coin:

I presume it is this one: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces19755.html

But I have trouble with all those tiny differences in Type A/B/C etc, can anyone help me with this?
I don't want just randomly assign one to catalog it...

Verweis : FrenchloverYour coin is a :
S-1464, "BOO CIOWAN" (Board of Revenue mint in Bejing)
Hieroglyph on the obverse side doesn't look the same, there is no "tail". Also there is a kind of underline below it.

Yes. But can you identify it further, there is like 20 varieties of it in the catalog?

Take Hartill book. It's the place where the info was copied to numita.

But there it is with an image of every coin

Hartill suggested 22.258 (1775-1794) It's easy to identify just by reverse side. Only F2 gives your style of both words. There are just three variants and the first among them is yours - two others have different spelling of the top of the right character.  The most common coin.

Knowledge is boundless, but the capacity of one man is limited.

according to manchuian on reverse, it is Boo-yuwan, not "BOO CIOWAN".
