You can get them at the bank, however they are not unc. They count them with their fingers, not twice, but trice. 2 zlote is 50 euro cents, so that would be 70 cents of your dollar if I'm right.

hi thankyou for your help-murray
Are you talking about regular 2Zlote coins or commemorative 2 Zlote coins?

When I visited Poland 2 years ago, I spent 4 days there and I did not see commemorative 2 Zlote in circulation. Also, the guy that worked in a hostel where I was staying said that he has never seen unusual 2 Zlote coins... So I am guessing, those are uncirculating legal tender.

talking about the commerative 2 zlote coins- i believe that they are circulated, same as the australian issues.
We need a member from Poland to verify this.

Are 2Zlote commemorative coins circulating or not. I know that they are legal tender, but how often do you see them in circulation?
According to my polish friend who answered back then when I had this question they do circulate but not often.

That´s why they have changed it and now they are minting commemorative 5 zlotych coins... just because they´re made in the "circulation standard" whereas the NG 2 zlote weren´t.
Commemorative 2 Zlote are bigger than regular 2 Zlote (28mm vs 21mm), also regular 2 Zlote are bimetalic and commemorative are not. That means that commemorative coin would be very easy to spot, even if you are not paying attention.
The Polish hostel receptionist (who is not a coin collector) said that he has never seen "unusual" 2 Zlote coins - if he was not lying to me that means that commemorative coins are either not circulating OR that they are very very rare.

Also, I have about 30 commemorative 2 Zlote coins in my collection. I got them through swaps on Numista and they are all in UNC condition. I personaly have never seen 2Zlote that are not UNC

2zl commemorativ coins are in circulation. You can find them. It is difficul because à lot of polish people collect them but you can find

Hi  thankyou for your help- I see you are the referee for Poland, so this is the answer -- 8) Murray
I guess I was misinformed!
Good, now we know, they are in circulation.
Yeap, they are. If you want some, you must go to the post office or place like this, because they've a lot of them (not UNC, because they get all from normal citizens).
