Verweis : numismaticroyI have 314 countries at the moment but can't seen to get any higher!
There are at least these following countries affordable :
- France Feudal
- Lorraine
- Madeira Islands
- Saint Pierre et Miquelon
- Spanish states
- Tokelau
... and Hutt River
I think Belarus is quite easy as well. Dunno why just few 300s have it.
Starting from 10 dollars with Registered mail shipping included, so anyone with 10 dollars available can add Belarus to their collection. I got mine from swaps several months ago, but if I hadn't, then this would had been quite the nice alternative.

Could you please post a picture of the "Show countries: from which you don't have any coin" in your collection that you can visualize in your dashboard under "View the country list with your collection quantities."? Because your collection isn't public, so I think Frenchlover cannot know which ones do you have. And since you are already past the 300 it is easier to post simply the ones you don't have.

Yes!
I tryed to look them up but it didnt work, can you send me a link?
I use this tracking system as it works both on the sending and receiving countries at the same time, and if there is a transit point if will show it as well, like when receiving from Asia or Oceania that they usually go through Tokyo and Los Angeles on the Pacific or Cyprus or Frankfurt if they are sent through Europe instead.
Nice to see you wrote them here, believe me, I didn't knew who the others where, except for you and me, and now I can certainly notice who the members are.

With this I think I am done for a long long time; as my new goal is to get either a 3DS XL or a PS4, but will surely get the 3DS XL because I need a portable as I cannot play at home as I used to, so a portable is the best option and also it has a wide library already, while the PS4 is overpriced because of the lack in good titles, so no new countries for me, at least for this year. After that I think I'll focus on the Emirate cuntries.
*Manually removed Micronesia because it just bugs me as it doesn't have any coin, but every other country is there even if the have entirely tokens like NMI.

Verweis : FrenchloverAt least you speak the same language
Yeah, with English and Spanish you can go anywhere in America and communicate freely; even in Brazil, as their Portuguese is quite understandable for Spanish-speakers, you just have to open your mind and not try to hard to understand each word, and you will surely get the complete idea Even with Spanish only you can easily communicate from half the US all the way to the southern tip of the Continent. A real advantage; as I imagine how it would be if I went to my nearest neighbor State Colima, which is only 35km away, and after crossing the border having to change the tape to speak their language. I guess it would be like Europe's smallest countries that have multi-language regions according to their neighboring countries, but still it would be a pain in the rear.

anyone else lost countries?
There has been a lot of movement with coins that are migrating to other geo sections. I lost my Caucasian Khanates ones, but all those where simply moved to Persianate States, and the CK was removed, so it was a 1:1 ratio (lost 1, gained one). But I've also lost 3 Indian Kingdom coins that where moved to Indian States (which in turn absorbed the Indian Princely States, this was a 1:1) but IK to IS was a 1:0 movement.
There is always the chance that you lost something to the tokenization movement. Or that some misplaced coins where corrected and sent to their proper country.
I went from 373 to 371, mainly because of the IK issue, and also because of a misplaced coin that was from Austrian states, but turns out it is actually from the Hungarian states (always a chance of confusion there due to the bond between those two).

I'm back at 372 (after being at 373 and then 371). So it seems a new country was added to the list, because I am still missing the same ones, so I guess a new one was added.
I really wish there was an Admin post in where they would tell which coins are moved where, as at the moment it would be pretty hard to figure out which coin(s) was moved from my collection to a different region.

Verweis : muzz0000Hi- does anyone have a list of genuine circulated coins countries- and how many there is--Murray
You could do it yourself. But would take time. Simply open each country under the Country list and thick off "Non-circulating" and now you would only see the circulating coins. So if a country has none, you can eliminate it from the list. At the end you should have a list of countries with Circulating coins. That should eliminate 30% of all. And from there see from which you still have coins and you will have the real number of countries in your collection with circulating coins. It is a lot of work and the main reason why I don't care to do it for my collection.

As far as I know if you get several coins from any Indian States it will only count as a single country. And it was even reduced, as it absorbed the Princely States, and several Kingdoms had been moved there as well.
If you are referring to the different colonial States, then it has sense, because those where all different administrations and territories, and you cannot mix them; although India Colonial States could be viable (and would made getting the Danish India coin no longer a chore), it is best to leave them separated.

I have 2690 different coins in my collection, so with 300 countries that means I have 8.96 coins per country. Not a bad spread I think.

Quite simple, just visualize Your coins, and open the "List with you collection quantities" and then select " from which you don't have any coins" and then hit "Print screen" on your keyboard and paste and edit the image on your desired software and select that area from the image and save, as simple as that.

-$200-$3000 ones:
Ajman, Fujairah, Gold Coast, I de F et B, Danish India, Ras al-K, Umm Al Q.
-Confusing to find, a lot of unrelated coins appear when you try searching for these:
Aksum, Brittany (the whole British coin fleet shows when trying to find these), Crusader States (95% gift tokens, and the remaining 5% a mix between geographically misplaced coins and the few ones you might want), Etruria, Frisia, and Numidie.
-So that leaves these easy to find, not THAT expensive ones (average $100):
Dahomey, and Kiau Chau only.

Verweis : erdvillaI don't mind Admins correcting the Arab countries coinage, specially since that gave almost all users an instant United Arab Republic coin, when before it was quite hard to get one, as initially only the Egypt + Syria coins where considered UAR coinage, but since Egypt retained the UAR name for longer, their coins are way easier to get, and this made the UAR turn from a class-4 country (highly expensive but not impossible for an amateur) to a class-1 (anyone who can pay mail can get at least one coins from there).
And what about coins labelled as Egyptian or Syrian, but minted during the UAR common period?
1 or 2 years ago I bought coins labelled as Syrian on eBay. 2 of them were pre-UAR, and 2 were UAR. So, just try to search Syrian-labelled coins, as most people consider UAR currencies as Egyptian or Syrian.

I've got coins from Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaima, Sharjah and Umm Al Qaiwan. From some of them I've got more than 1 coin.
The 1 riyal 1969 from Ras Al Khaima I bought very cheap about 35 years ago on a coin fair. For a coin of Umm Al Qaiwan I had to wait till a few years ago before I saw one for the first time. I payed 250 euros for it. The last years you see Umm Al Qaiwan coins several times at every major coin fair, but the price remains high, at least 250 euros for the cheapest.
The other Emirates coins I payed between 75 and 125 euros (between 5 and 10 years ago).

it is always worth to take advantage of an opportunity to increase his number of countries and in the case of the "plat pays" and its neighbors, it is particularly interesting to study the political and religious historical upheavals of the past centuries with the major European powers vying for control of the Western duchies of the Holy Roman empire, those of the present-day Belgium and the United Provinces

Wonder who the "Ugly" was.
I reached ~260 in a year with 100% swaps. But then remaining countries started being scarce in swaps; most of the time offered by ghost users (years old profiles abandoned); or not interested users. But still managed a 30/70 purchase:swap ratio. But after 310 it has inverted; and after 350 it has been almost exclusively from purchases.

what a chalenge
Difficult but not inpossible--I have 235 countries at the moment ((2 or 3 that i will remove later Tokelae, Niue etc) and have checked list and there is 118 countries that i do not have (circulating coin countries) -
of which i have identified 45 countries as being obtainable and that does not include the ancient ones
Last week i got NORTH BORNEO-YEMEN-PORT INDIA-SARAWAK and SAHARA
I realise that shortly it will be difficult and things will slow down, but I do not think impossible
I do not consider that coins that are not circulating are mere tokens created for Tourists and Collectors
I like coins that have done the distance
Been in a bank vault somewhere
in someones pocket at some stage
paid for breakfast at a street vendors somewhere
been in a kids piggy bank
I like and collect VF-XF circ coins (With a few either side of this range)
I love to pick up a well circulated coin, and think where have you been- What have you paid for in your time-Whose piggy bank have you been in What collector took you out of Circulation

The change of name is not always suffisant. But in this case, you're right, the SCWC should have taken in account the change of boundaries due to the end of the German East Africa with the English Mandate on Tanganyka and should have created a new country.
And that would have been probably done if there were separate coins issued for Tanganyka. Unfortunately that was not the case
Now it would not make sense to separate these countries on Numista while SCWC puts them together
Protectorate : (Uganda, Kenya, Zanzibar) before 1920 and
East Africa : Colony (Uganda, Kenya) - Protectorate (Zanzibar) - Mandate (Tanganika)
Tricky one- but based on this -I would say no
The 1 peseta coin is a non-circulating collectors' coin that was issued in 1992 by the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), a partially recognized state claiming sovereignty over Western Sahara. It was issued by the Polisario Front, the leading party of the SADR. While the piece is intended primarily for collectors and not for circulation, it carries a purported legal tender face value equivalent to 1 Sahrawi peseta, or 0.0060 euros, in Sahrawi refugee camps and the SADR-controlled Free Zone east of the Moroccan Wall.
And "rarest" countries are in yellow (Austrian Netherlands, France - Kingdom)... Damn...

You say you get more than 330 countries, and still you've listed on Numista only 3 countries for 1100 coins.
At this rate, you'll explode the counter when you have entered all your countries
Yes, I probably might. Since the heaviest countries still have to come, the European countries, like Germany with an estimated 1.500 different coins.
But I also have countries with only 1 coin, so don't get fixated on the 1.100 coins for 3 countries. And I started with the countries of the American continent and according to the highest number. So from the following countries of the American continent I have less than 242 coins till finally just 1, so the average per country will lower a lot.
I think I finally will finish somewhere between 20.000 and 25.000 coins (but I'm afraid that will be somewhere next year), and I already saw several members who outdo that number, so I'm not that special.
Nevertheless, I would like you to integrate a new category in the image on your first post, namely countries who nobody has. I'm very curious if we can lower that down in time till 0 countries.

In the last years, coins from those countries show up in coin fairs regularly. Agreed, they still stay expensive, especially those from Umm Al Qaiwan, but now you can find them regularly. In the past, it took me even at least 30 years to see one.

Thanks for the nice update Frenchlover and thanks for adding the section with countries nobody has a coin from. That list is longer then I thought and it will be very difficult to lower it down till 0 but you never know.
