I agree it' s that one, but the year 1374 is not available, nor is it mentioned in krause (edition 2010).
Therefor I thought there might be something special about it (or just an error in the great book )
euro3000
according to the list 'standard international numeral systems' (krause), malay-persian (i think this is what they use in iran), the last numeral is a 4 (not 100% clear in the picture, but 100% sure), so this coin would be 1374
is there an online numerals list to verify ?
thanks
tony
In Iran, they use a different form of the numbers 5 (which looks like a heart upside down...) and six (like you can see in the "paragraph" that I copy directly from the link I joined before in this topic)
Verweis : tony.cis there an online numerals list to verify ?
There is list of numerals on here already. Just go to Search near the top left of most pages, then click on Special keyboard then chose the style (in this case Arabic) ...
I made a composite picture combining ~ your coin ~ the coin on the 100 Rials page ~ Arabic numerals. The numeral representing 4 has a vertical line, whereas the 6 numeral has a line that is at 45 degrees.
WHEN YOU ADD THE NUMERALS IN THE CONVERSION IT COMES UP 1995 BECOUSE SOLAR HEJIRA SKIPS YEARS EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE SO CERTAIN DATES IN THE MONARCHIAL CALENDER DONT EXIST IN HEJIRA CALENDER SORT OF LIKE LEAP YEARS
oh yeah, I know that islamic dates don't match every time with the gregorian ones. talking about
annoying corrections: see algerian coins (the newest set of circulating coins)!
but - does the added year need corrections here?
