Just a little interesting facts I think.
Next week Sweden starts their new set of banknotes. They start with the new 20, 50 and 1,000 kronors banknote and even a brand new note into operation, which is 200 krona banknote. Next year they start with the new 1, 2 and 5 kronors coins and replacing the 100 and 500 note as well. All old Swedish coins will be unusable except for the 10 krona coin which will be the same.
About the new notes;
Obverse side of the 20 kronor note will be a portrait of the author Astrid Lindgren and Pippi Långstrump (Longstocking) beside her.
Reverse side will be with a landscape motive of Småland (Southeast) along with its landscape flower Linnéa.
Obverse side of the 50 kronor note will be with the poet Evert Taube and with a sailing boat.
Reverse side will be with a landscape motive of Bohuslän (West coast) along with its landscape flower Vildkaprifol (Google translate; honeysuckle?). And a lighthouse and petroglyphs from Tanum.
Obverse side of the 100 kronor note will be with the actress Greta Garbo along with film rolls and a motive from the movie Susan Lennox.
Reverse side you will see buildings from the city of Stockholm; like the Stockholm castle and the parliament building. In the background you will see the view of the lake Mälaren. Since Stockholm is located in both Södermanland and Uppland there are two landscape flowers which is and a Näckros (translate; Water lily?). Kungsängslilja (Translate; King bed lily?).
Obverse side of the 200 kronor note will be with Ingmar Bergman and a sequence from filming of The Seventh Seal with the death played by Max von Sydow and with a quote from Fanny and Alexander.
Reverse side is with natural formed stones called raukar which is in Gotland (in the Baltic Sea). Along with its landscape flower Murgröna (Ivy?).
Obverse side of the 500 kronor note will be with the opera singer Birgit Nilsson with a rehearsal of the first act Valkyria.
Reverse side is with the Öresund bridge along with the landscape flower of Skåne (South), Prästkrage (Daisy?)
Obverse side of the 1000 kronor note will be with the former secretary-general of the United Nations Dag Hammarskjöld and the United Nation emblem and the UN Headquarters in New York along with an olive branch which symbols peace.
Reverse side is a landscape of Lappland (North) with the motive of the national park of Sarek and the world heritage of Laponia. Fjällsippan (Mountain avens?) is their landscape flower which is also on the reverse side of the note.
If you are interested I can get these bills for you (20,50 and 200 for now). It won't cost more than what the note is worth + the postage. I will not send you a 1000 kronor note, too much money for the post. That maybe you can find by yourself in a bank or something.
To see the banknotes, its in Swedish could not find anything in English.
