Hello, I just found THIS coin on Listia, and I couldn't find it anywhere on Google. The closest coin I could find is the first coin on THIS page. I can guess that this might be a fake, but I can always get my credits back. I think it is worth the risk considering what it might be worth if it is real. I asked for the weight.
Hi! I am not an expert on russian coins, but know russian.

Here is an action for a Peter the First ruble from 1723:

It doesn't guarantee that yours isn't a forgery

If you want to find more photos you should search in russian and better try www.yandex.ru, rather than google.

And here is someone's post about Peter the First's coins

I hope it will be helpful, even now.
Hi, this one looks more helpful -- the numismatic information on 1 ruble 1722.

The coin should be 22.44 g, Ag 728

But the portraits are different for different years, as you can see from my previous links

Hi, once again!
Sorry for that much info, but this can also be interesting and important.

Uh oh. I guess I should buy it for the silver weight then.
It looks like the seller might be selling fakes. Look at how many "rare" coins he is selling, for $4 shipping. https://www.listia.com/profile/2354594
nthn,
this is a modern copy of rather rare (and very popular) silver rouble of Peter the Great from 1722. Real thing goes on auctions only and usually fetches between $1500 and $3000 depending on the grading.

Do you think it is still silver?
Verweis : "nthn"Do you think it is still silver?
I seriously doubt that. In the best case scenario it's silver-plated.

The seller is a real piece of work and has had more auctions flagged than you can count.

I blocked him years ago, you should do the same.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.
Make Numismatics Great Again!
I would not call this a reproduction, FAKE should be stamped on this tramp

PS, how did it turn out with that other lot you had with a Newfoundland in it?
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

Looking for pre 1783 coins

I just got it yesterday. I think the Newfoundland coin can sell for about $15-$20, which makes a big profit. I scheduled it to be listed on eBay tonight starting at $15. One of the other coins turned out to be a 1953 Cuba 25 Centavos coin, which is 90% Silver, worth about $5. And there was a Reader's Digest 52 Cent Savings Token, which is worth about $5 I think. And two Indian Cents, worth about $2 for both. So I think it was a really good deal if I can sell the Newfoundland coin.
