Come on Ole
For someone used to look for a hair thin difference between 2 coins, you have so much difficulty to find such a thick copper in our catalogue ?
Just type "2 kreuzer 1851" in the search bar and it pops up second position.

Quand l'Histoire et la Géographie se croisent sur nos pièces de monnaie ...
honestly, I only use the "advanced search", which has become a pain in the neck:
1. the split up of countries in periods
2. you have to know if "Y" or "KM" instead of letting the search machine just look for the number
3. the use of "ND" even when the date is perfectly lisible (implicit) on the coin (Indian commemoratives!!)
4. etc
I have always hated to lose my time, but it has become worse in numista with the new developments, and that has nothing to do with finding "variants", at least it's worth it, since not useless. You see the difference?
In fact I quite agree there is something wrong with the search engine and I have been gathering note of things that don't work to ask for a future improvement.
I think we have to list them to ask Xavier.
Examples of searchs that don't work.
But the fast search works pretty well.
All the best,
André
