Commemorative coins in presentation cards

Hi All,

A lot of commemorative coins come in presentation cards. I was wondering if they should stay in the cards or most collectors move them to albums? Examples of such packaging: http://guystuff.com.au/coins/western-front-commemorative-penny-coin-anzac-australia-in-the-great-war-military.html or http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Australia-1961-64-Pre-Decimal-6-coin-set-in-Presentation-Card-Uncirculated-/201559545066?hash=item2eede294ea:g:busAAOSwI-BWOdI0

Thanks,
Tommy
Tommy,
This is up to the individual collector. Some remove the coin as that is how they collect them and obviously it is then easier to store.
Personally, I like to leave then in the packaging as issued by the various mints.
I could not remove a proof coin from its original box and discard the box, certificate and capsule.
I believe that the display of a small collection of proof coins still within their box looks truly amazing. Some would not agree.
Therefore I would keep them as issued for now, and you have option to change the way you collect later. If you remove them now, there is no way back
I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.
For all you banknote collectors. Link to my swap list.

I usually don't collect coins in presentation cards or other packagings.

I was very disappointed about the last 2€ coins Belgium released. Most of them were only available in coincards.
I bought them and "freed" them.

I also freed the second 5€ coin Austria 2011

And if i will buy one, i also will free the first 5€ coin Austria 2011 ("Pummerin")
Both are only available in presentation cards.

I also don't like proof coins.
If a coin is available only in proof, i most likely will never have it.
If it's in original government packaging, then I leave it there (unless there's a PVC issue). If it's aftermarket, I pull the coins out and throw the rest away. So something like this, will remain as is:

Great, thank you very much! Will leave it as it as :)
