Hi as you can see from the above pictures, I have obtained a ISLE OF MAN 2000 LIMITED EDITION MILLENNIUM decimal coin set.

Would anyone have any information on this please as this seems to be very rare?

Thanks in advance
Can't quite work out from the pictures, but are the 1p and 2p silver?

Not found much info regarding the mintage, but I've found on eBay the 2003 set, quite pricey and labelled as rare too:

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.

The whole of the set is silver. You maybe able to see that the set is fully silver proof and all coins silver bar the £2 however that is also Silver proof.

I have done a bit of research and there are a issue limit (mintage) of 2000 for this set however that doesn't mean that there are 2000 out there.

I cannot find any information whatsoever on this.

Seems a mystery?

Thanks
Hi. I love that you have this great set. Would you please scan or type out the information that came with your set about mintage limits, composition, etc. So that the coins can be cataloged here on the site? Or perhaps you could create or adjust the listings so that I might approve them? I love Isle of Man coinage...

Can't find any reference to the silver set.
Can't even find any reference to a silver 2000 1 Penny!
NGC shows nothing.
SCWC (38th Ed 2010) shows nothing.

Completely stumped.

Beautiful set though, congratulations.

Hopefully Oklahoman (IOM referee) or Fluke (very knowledgeable on British coins) can help.
Good luck.

Try contacting Pobjoy Mint as they mint Isle of Man (and others) coins.
On their website they list these ...
Ascension Island
British Antarctic Territory
British Indian Ocean Territory
British Virgin Islands
Falkland Islands
Isle Of Man
Niue
South Georgia And Sandwich Islands
Seychelles
Sierra Leone
The Bahamas
Vanuatu

I have been in contact with a member of the Pobjoy team; they are sending me clarification of the mintage figures, with a magazine that was issued when the set came out. A picture of that has been uploaded with this statement.

There is a 2000 mintage number however like I have previously mentioned there may not be that many sold as there doesn't seem to be any information on these sets online, in coin books/magazines.

I would like to know a value on this set however there doesn't seem to be any previous sales etc to go off.

Many Thanks
Hi,
I've just acquired this set.and I'm struggling to find any information just the above post from a few years ago. Has anyone got any thing New on this set? Thanks

It take some time but finally all 9 coins are added to the catalogue now: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/series.php?id=9280

If you have these coins, you are more than welcome to add the  photos :)

Can't you use the pictures of Portugalstacker? After all he's a member (although not active anymore I assume) and he shared his pictures here on the forum.

The quality of his pictures is well enough to make page wide pictures of each coin. Unfortunately, several of the coins are shifted in the booklet and are not completely visible anymore.

That's why I wrote that anyone who has this set is welcome to add better photos (one by one, not cut from one photo of full set).

If no photos for some time, we probably will use these avaliable with credit to user Portugalstacker (I messaged him yesterday anyway).
