I have several hundred kilos of common world coins from eastern europe to africa but I only collect circulation world silver coins. Besides world coins I also have an endless supply of Hungarian coins. Do I have a reasonable chance to swap my common non-silver coins to silver coins on this website? I believe most of my stuff would be interesting to new collectors mainly, I wonder if they even have swappable spare silver coins.
Haven't thought about prices yet, but I would "charge" something around 10-20 euro cents for an average grade coin.
Do I have a chance to grow my silver collection through this site?
Thanks in advance!
Hello my friend and welcome to Numista
Once you put your offer on the swap list chances are you
will get all kind of offers from many of us that are intrested .
The point is to find and agree on a fair swap for
both sides of the swap !!
good luck yiorgos
That depends on how common your "common non-silver coins" are. I happily change silver for non-silver. For example for this or this kind of coins. Or even for this kind of coins if they are many enough. But definitely not for this kind. So I think you have a chance.
That's exactly why I'm uncertain about getting into swaps on Numista. The coins you mentioned have a huge market even in my country. I was hoping to target date-collectors though. You can buy cheap pound lots everywhere in the world, but getting all the (common) dates is still impossible that way. If a collector on Numista has many duplicate common silver coins from his own country, it might be a good deal for him to swap a single silver coin to 50-100 common coins he is missing. Thanks for your reply, I need to think about this!
