Christopher Ironside was her father - with a design on a 2013 50 Pence coin.
I heard of it yesterday I’m hopefully get one of the current ones and the new one to put in my collection the way I did the £20 note but forgot to do with the £10 and the £5.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
Sadly I cannot find a similar website but for coins.

With the 2020 Olympics starting this month, it is now announced for 2032
that Brisbane, Australia will be the host - so 11 years to produce commemorative coins.

I predict that they will produce Olympic 50 cents to 2 dollar coins.

They will do more than that. The RAM will go berserk and the Perth Mint will go apeshit producing Olympic coins when we get to the 2032 Olympics to be held in my Hometown ... Brisbane
Cheers Mike

I do like the Olympic coins but I do agree with you that what I’ve seen Australia takes it too far like why did they mint the same coin but with a different colour ring on it? I understand the list of the different types of sport in the Olympics or a handover coin but that is too far. But I doubt that they would change their actions and mint hundreds of 95% of the same coin.
They should take advice of what The Royal Mint U.K. and Brazil did those are decent range of commemorative coins but that is my opinion.

I did find links for their other 2021 poppy coins, such as gold and so on, but I wanted
the usual offer where you pay them £5 and they send you a £5 coin, post free.
Thanks ZacUK been looking on westminster for this offer and still can't find it. However you are right if you go to order and enter 999 811N 0 it takes you to the £5 for £5 offer. Mine is now ordered. Thanks again.

Right now, at the end of the 6:00 BBC News, is an item about the Royal Mint.
With so much electronic waste such as circuits boards, the mint is experimenting
with a secret liquid that turns the waste into a brown powder. It is then heated for
30 minutes at 1,000 degrees and out comes a blob of gold - and other metals.
This time next year they say the new system will be up and running.
Another offer of a £5 coin for £5 - post free. Normally only see those offers for
their Poppy coins around Remembrance Day.
Diameter: 38.61mm / Weight: 28.28gm / Legal Tender only in Guernsey
Edit: 11-Apr-2022
They will have stock in four days, and will despatch up to eleven days after that.
Edit: 16-Apr-2022
An email received yesterday:
We're pleased to confirm that it's due for despatch on 20/04/2022 and
should normally arrive within 3 working days of this date.
Today received a large padded envelope - the second of my previous replies.
So in the envelope was a plastic bag, containing: invoice, offers, coincard.
The offer includes six coins (two issued so far) for British Virgin Islands $1 coin 2022 dated.
Depicting ships (one member I know likes that theme), with Golden Hind and Santa Maria now available.
The Guernsey coin (70th Anniversary) in the first of my previous replies should arrive tomorrow -
that being the third day after the 20th when they said they would begin despatching.
Bailiwick of Jersey - I feel like I need to apologize for being so American… I knew Jersey was a Channel Island but I didn't know, until I just did some googling, about its independent status. In fact I'm still a little confused about the association with the UK, it seems complicated. And I only knew “bailiwick” in the presumably derived and American usage meaning “area of expertise” (so for example, world geography is not in my bailiwick).
Back to the coin, I understand now that they have their own currency, so that this is 5 Jersey pounds. Is the exchange rate fixed at 1-1 with the pound sterling? (Tell me I didn't get some nomenclature wrong there too!) I do like the look of the coin.
Ah, I meant, does the US Mint sell anything for face value.
Misunderstood. Yes, I was surprised at the premium over face even for bulk coins. Is there any real expectation of finding something so special that you would do this?

Both the Channel Islands & the Isle of Man are Crown Dependencies - which means that King Charles III is viceregally represented by Lieutenant-Governors.
Laws passed in Westminster cannot have effect unless any one or all of the Crown Dependencies are specifically named in the legislation.
In all other respects, the local legislatures can pass legislation independently that apply only within the Crown Dependency where the legislation was passed.
In the Isle of Man, Acts of Tynwald that have been passed & given Royal Assent by the Lieutenant-Governor has to be promulgated in a ceremony on Tynwald Day. Any Act of Tynwald that is not promulgated within 18 months of being passed ceases to have effect.
Is the delivery free globally or just within the UK? I didn't notice the clarification of this point anywhere on that showy website.
In general, Westminster ship only to UK. For international shipping, you need to go for their WestminsterInternational website which offer much less range of products.
Reply received - there will be no 2022 £5 coin offer this year.

The man further informs us that the Dutch coins dated 1817 and 1818 were actually essays, which is not mentioned as such on the Numista pages.
It must be added that in those days, The Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg formed one country, so it's not just part of the Dutch numismatic history.
The standard 2024 copper nickel remembrance 5 pounds from the Westminster Collection were not in a 5 pound for 5 pound offer however I did get an offer to buy that coin for around £20. It came in a presentation box with a poppy shaped commemorative non coin.
Notice its deceptive advertising - they charge £2 postage and handling (The FV of this coin is £1) and sign you up for a porgramme of 4 coins totalling £90. Just bait advertising in my opinion and a 3rd party mint/company for a British island (Known for their excessive and wallpaper/bubblegum like issues of stamps and coins).
Plus its muckmetal - you guys may love it, but this is pure grannybait. Its a sentimental topic that appeals to emotions and a good way for these 3rd party companies to milk people's emotions for profit.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Used to be the case that it was a Guernsey or Jersey commemorative 5 pound coin offered for face value and free postage and you could buy as many as you liked too. Then it slowly went to 5 pound for 5 pound face value with postage on top with 9 quantities allowed then 3 quantities allowed or so. (For swappers it was a good deal getting these commemorative coins at face value from small islands that foreign collectors go mad for). And then since Queen Elizabeth II died RIP they've began experimenting with coins like this new poppy pound though theres usually other commemorative 5 pounds they offer during the year for face value with postage on top and only 1 per household allowed and some of the face value £5 are offered if you subscribe to a set. Still a good company to buy from though nonetheless.
