I have recently catalogued all my coins and have been searching for a reasonably priced bulk lot that I could catalogue and get my hands on. Either I haven't found the place that coins live in Kent or I just haven't found many bulk lots that aren't over priced.
Still I was looking in a charity shop and I saw a jar of coins in their office up on a high shelf, being short sighted, I wasn't 100% sure that they were coins: I thought maybe they were buttons. So I asked..."Have you got any coins?" ..."Manager keeps them locked away in the safe and she's not here today," one lady said. The other lady has look and spots the coins (not buttons) on the top shelf. I get them down for her and then she lets me have a look through the lot. I'm practically salivating at the thought of getting my hands on some of these very nice coins, Greek, CCCP, Hungarian, British, Jersey(an), Gibraltarian, Turkish, etc. I pull out all the known silver and put it aside including some gap fillers. I explain that I'd buy the whole lot for £30 if I am allowed it...they were saying they might have to send the lot away to have it valued. So, I leave and here back from the manager a day later saying I can have the lot for £30...Wish I'd said £20?...Would they have let me have the lot for £20...I don't think so; maybe they would have...so I look through them. An UNC/XF 50p from 1969, my 2001 Coin Year book says £3...I guess something near £4 now?

These were also included in the collection and many others. I will continue to post. I am aware of the silver content...but what about the numismatic value. Any help would be very helpful.
