As I attempt to rebuild a coin collection and get new coin books, I have decided that I want to create some goals for myself while I am accumulating a new collection.
One of my first goals will be to try and track down not only all the old American and Canadian Coin books again, but I also want to try and gather British coin books too. I have decided that I want to also start collecting coins from England. But maybe not as much as Canada
Another goal I will try and achieve is to start collecting as many coins as I can with rabbits and chickens on them. I know that probably sounds funny to most people, but I love rabbits!!! (and chickens)
I also want to complete my first silver for silver coin swap. I’ve seen people talk about this a lot, but I never really got into all of that. But, my Father in Law laughs and says to me that, “I got bit with the silver bug.” I am still not too sure what that means, however from what I think is that I am starting to like some silver coins now. But only if they are from the Canada and the United States of America. As I am rebounding from the dumb hurricane, I have managed to collect a few silver dimes and quarters, but not many. But I do have some extras from the same year of some types. So, when I start trading again, I want to try to complete a silver for silver trade with someone on this website that I can trust and have traded with before. I know it won’t be a big trade or anything like that. I will most likely be just looking for dimes or maybe even quarters from the 40’s, 50’s or 60’s that I don’t have for my coin books. (Especially Canada!!!)
Another thing that I am going to do is start having contests on the website that I make up. Because I like to give coins away sometimes. And because sometimes people were so nice to me and gave me some coins when I didn’t even trade them anything! So, my Aunt says, “What comes around, goes around and you also must pay it forward”. Now that I have internet again at my house, I basically spend all day long on this website because I love it so much and it’s awesome. I am in a wheelchair, so I don’t get to go outside now very often because I live in the mountains now. And it’s too cold outside and there’s a lot of cats here. But you need to look out for my contests because they take a long time to figure out!!! And they are fun!
Oh ya and another goal I am going to try to do is this one. I want to complete my first international trade. Normally I only can trade with people in the U.S.A. or Canada because I love Canada a lot. But I want to try to complete a trade with someone from somewhere else like England or France or something like that maybe. My Father in Law said he will help me with that one too.
Oh ya and I have another one. This time when I get more coin books, I am going to try to complete some of them! I almost had all the Canadian Pennies in one book! I want to also say “thank you” to everyone who sent me pennies and stuff like that especially from Canada. That was very nice and cool of you. This website rules! And there are a lot of cool people who use it! I look at people’s collections and some of the collections are very crazy!!!
Oh ya and another goal is this one because I wanted to get to 50 swaps by the end of summer last year, but Hurricane Irma is dumb and now I can’t do that anymore. So I want to try and get to 75 this year! But now in New York we get Hurricanes of snow and they are dumb too. And cold!!!
And another goal is to try and collect at least one coin from as many countries and or issuers as I possibly can. I know that is a lot of people’s goal anyways, but I want to do that too!
Does anyone out there have numismatic goals for 2018?
What do you think of my goals?!
