I have a chance to get a 1925 1/2 dollar commemorative California jubilee silver coin. 86000 minted. Non circulating coin. Going for R1000. Do you think it's worth it?

Here is the book values for grade ... So, it depends on the grade and how much you want it.

But, with the exchange rate at 1,000 INR =15.6844USD, either the person selling the coin doesn't know the value or it's counterfeit ...
