One of my bartenders knows I collect money and gave this to me, I know it's not worth much but it's still fun. Anyone else have some wooden certificates or coins?

Curious why they misspelled "Nickel"?

But we speak American here, not English!
"Nickle" is actually a misspelling. The standard spelling is "nickel", including in Canada and in the UK.

I wouldn't be surprised if the misspelling was intentional to make it "of the people". Just like people may intentionally write "ain't" or "he don't". An even better example is "critter" for "creature".

Does nobody else have wooden nickels (or nickles) to share?
