It's a revalidated note .. Red was used to insure was noticed .. If I have it, I would keep it in a hard plastic note sleeve .. If you come across one in blue/black ink, definitely a keeper. As far as value goes ...??
If you don't want it, send it to me ..

I just picked up a 1 peso note of the same series. Not very good condition. Also a 1 peso that says "Ejercito Constitucionalista de Mexico"; I think this was issued by the Constitutional Army in Chihuahua. Again in poor condition, but what an interesting piece of history.
It's a bit dog eared on one corner Jesse, so I guess that reduces any potential value. It just looks like it's something which ought to be in high demand. Imagine if it was the equivalent coin? I often find stamps which at first glance would seem valuable, early colonial issues from the earliest parts of postal history only to discover they are basically worthless.
TBH I'm more interested in avoiding destroying anything of value to my banknote collecting friends. I turn up a surprising number of notes throughout the year while out and about looking for coins which have in the past included a few real gems. I don't pay much for them, have not much interest in them, so every once in a while I get some photos together and let one of our members pick through them. I'm happy to accept whatever they have to offer and those which remain go into a project of mine which will ultimately destroy any value they might have. I'm happy with the arrangement as I genuinely enjoy making someone's day plus it makes me feel slightly less of a Philistine.
Fred, I've already promised the pick of the current crop to someone but you're most welcome to it should it be passed on.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.
