Heard about it a couple of times, but the first time I actually went to investigate it (today), I was very unimpressed with the slow speed and formats.. even Colnect is better.

I agree. I just realized they charge a monthly fee as well.

Well, I would say banknote central is an okay website because it’s pretty slow at times and they also charge to view more information...

Cass, which websites do you use for your banknotes? I know from the post banknotes threads on this forum that you have tons of them so I assume you logged your collection somewhere? Possibly colnect? You sound a bit negative about it saying "even" colnect is better, but it's the best I know tbh I want to start logging my banknotes soon, which is why I'm asking :D

You guessed right, I currently do have logged them on Colnect. Their database is far from perfect IMHO as well, but until this becomes a reality, it's the best us dual collectors have got.... I also have my stamps (over 2.000 now!) and military medals listed there.

I never really thought about how many banknotes I have; well over 900 according to my Colnect listings. I spend the same amount (roughly) of cash and effort in hunting down banknote issues by type as I do coins.

And thank you for your compliments, that's my daily ego boost done.

Their (Colnect's) banknotes and stamps catalogues are quite good, but their military medals and decorations section is an unholy mess.
