The 5 pesetas - Juan Carlos 1975 was minted in low quality. They were manufactured in Spain, Germany and Canada and only the German have a good mintage. There are some variations and errors, but I think not in your coin. This seems only a weak coinage. 1975 *80 was minted only in Spain.
ZacUK, your link is about other coin.
Referee for Spain, Iberia (ancient), Suebi Kingdom and Visigothic Kingdom
the problem was that in Spain at this time the mint had to make millions of coins of the new king and had to hire several emergency mints
looking at the pictures the star seems normal, maybe he moved a little punch
as zegeri says, there were several errors
the most important were these
5 PESETAS, 1975 * 77. / Back rotated 90 °. ........... SC 78.00
5 PESETAS, 1975 * 78. / Back rotated 60 ° to left., Approximately ...... SC 45.00
5 PESETAS, 1975 * 78. / German Alternative. / Ald-362.VF1. ...... SC 9.00
5 PESETAS, 1975 * XX. / Star anepígrafa. / Minted on a nickel planchet
whose thickness decreases from the center to the beading. Rare. .. SC 57.00
I believe it is a double strike error. If you look at the 5 and PTAS you will see it. I have the same kind of error coin though I think you will see better on mine. I can't seem to upload it here. And it seems the pictures I attached to my coin did not upload either. does any one know how to over come this problem? I used windows 10.
