Value? Just what a collector wants to give for it....
Non est totum quod splendet ut aurum
Rijkdom bestaat niet uit het hebben van veel bezittingen, maar in het hebben van weinig behoeften
Very interesting and so much rarer than its french equivalent.
"Algeria phone token extremely rare" --> 20€ on ebay (or make a proposal ... :°)
And ... the ad should be written in French cause we are known to be zero in foreign languages :D

@PetrusAscanus and @Casstaylor What is the point in your posts? Every numismatic and other collectable item is valued at 'what a collector wants to give for it' ... It's such pointless information and just feels like you want to post for the sake of it.

Similar to a post I made recently to identify a coin weight, and got a reply of 'its a coin weight'
Well, to be fair, your trash might be someone else's treasure; when it comes down to it everything in life is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. ;)

But in all seriousness, I post that only when people are asking for the value of near-worthless tokens, medallions, modern Chinese fakes, and essentially junk items. It's basically a nicer way of saying "Your coin/token is worth jack sh*t".

And besides, who knows, they might actually find someone willing to pay a large amount for their tram token or whatever.
As you know this phone token is well appreciated in France, sort of "souvenir". So I bet some "Pied noir" collector might be interested by this memory of his childhood ; and as a major fact, it's extremely rare. Today you can't buy another one right now.

These phone token were very common in France. As french post office was operating also in Algeria your token was designed for Algeria were there were not so many telephone booths ...
