only .67 g
thank you daryl
It is, what it is, or is it.
It has the frozen year of AH 1255 (1839), which is the ascension date of Ottoman sultan Abdulmecid I; the regnal year is 2, indicating 1840 as a date of issue.

Recently helped a friend identify the same coin on PM, which is why yours immediately jumped out at me.
Thank you Cass. Was looking in wrong country.

Tis' nothing. :)

Egypt was an Ottoman vassal from 1517 to 1914, so for centuries the coins they minted were quite similar to Ottoman issues, with the tughra and so on. It's very much a reasonable mistake to make.
Constantinopel mint....

Rijkdom bestaat niet uit het hebben van veel bezittingen, maar in het hebben van weinig behoeften
Daryl's coin weighs only 0.67 g. Of course it has some worn, but not that much it lost half it's weight. So it's not the 20 para KM# 653 but the 10 para KM# 652 (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces19335.html)

Thank you Essor Prof . I did not even look at that. I think I need more rest.

Good save!

Next time I recommend providing diameter as well; it's usually what I check rather than weight.
