Swapping unopened bulk lots?

Hello all!

I just had an idea for a kind of swap and want to know your opinion or if you have already done something like it.
Let's say I want to hunt for old or uncommon coins from Portugal. It's just a matter of going to buy bulk lots from local stores and see what comes up (maybe sell or swap the unwanted ones so it's sustainable).
But let's say I want to do the same with coins from another country (let's say France, for example). It's very difficult for me to buy French coins in bulk. My idea is something along the lines of buying here a bulk lot of Portuguese coins and swap for a similar one with a French user here in Numista who wants to do so and get a lot of Portuguese coins as well.
Or maybe if I want to have a bunch of coins from a country where I have few and advance my collection very rapidly.

So, what's your opinion on that? The only problem I see is shipping being expensive because of the weight of the packages involved.
It's a good idea but

1. Like you said, postage is pretty expensive in most countries
2. You may get people that abuse it by picking over all the good coins and then posting out the detritus as an "unopened bulk lot"
3. It would be pretty hard to balance out values. All dealers have different prices and a $20 lot from a dealer in one country might not be nearly as good as a $20 lot from another country.
What? Me Worry

If you mean lots of very common coins, then IMHO they will be common in any country. On the other hand, I can imagine that this idea could be useful for year collectors.
