The two western numerals indicate the year within the particular reign.
I cant make it out in your photo too dark and out of focus, but

Hmmm. Looks like 昭和35年(1960) to me but I don't think 100 yen was this design at that time...so probably 平成25年 (2013) or 昭和55年 (1980)?

I can confirm it is a 昭和 (Showa). I think it is a Showa 55, therefore (1980, very common).
