I have a 1994 coin with no milling as described. It is also only 5.5g in weight. It is also smaller than the other coins which would explain the weight...what have I got: a forgery or an unfinished coin?
I got a UK 1996 10p the other day, and it had the edge milling missing (top right in picture) ...
So as above 'Who would fake a 10 forint coin?' then I would also ask 'Who would fake a 10 pence coin?' - or as this looks a little thicker/wider then maybe mine got missed in the process (which I assume makes the coin slightly smaller after the milling machine).
I know the UK 1 pound coins are rubbish, even after only a few years in circulation, so nickel-brass is less durable, but copper-nickel does not wear out much - especially as mine is only 16 years old.
I see the 10 Forint is also copper-nickel; can a picture be sent in - like mine, with one over another?
Yeah, I guess I should have placed images before! Sorry for the wait. Well: this is it. What do you think now? There seem to be horizontal lines, and the edge is relatively sharp.
Hello.
There are years from last discussion about this coin.
I just like to say that I have the same coin from 1994 with the flat edge and horizontal lines.
