Republic of Liberia fine gold $200 year of the dragon

Hi I have come into this coin and can’t find any information in regards to it at all. The coins has been tested and is fine gold 999.9 with a Diamond. It looks like the $1 coin stamp but larger. Weight is 12.4 grams. 23mm diameter

sorry never heard of this and i doubt anyone else has, i google it and it seem like it is not appearing anywhere. I know of Liberia Elephant gold coins, however this is the first time of heard of the Dragon gold coins.

Thanks, ‘Year of the dragon’ year 2000. I spent hours searching the net. I found a mention of one in a police auction in Florida but nothing else. The Chinese writing seems to be years of the dragon as well

NGC says it was couple varietes for 1999 year of the rabbit coins so they could also mint for the year of the dragon 2000. Will let you know if get more details.

Thanks Damien, your links help establish the possibility of this being authentic. It’s s weight is right and dimensions and composition are correct but still no mention of if it was minted and how many. This puts placing a value very difficult for me.

Does anyone know where Liberia mints from. Maybe I could contact the mint

I think that most of them are mint in Germany but i don't know their names.

Thanks for that! I can’t believe this coin is a one off or fake. There are better coins to copy for return on gold content. I thought someone would be able to give me something on here.

I just received information from American mint ,they issue some coins for Liberia but not this one ;/ Still searching.
