I reckon colnect is the best there is when it comes to banknotes when it comes to store your collection online. But that's me.

I notice for American banknote they have a place for several ones in one place and I save each one meaning , 1 dollar I save by date and First letter of serial number. And some cases not all they list date then A thru L. I save each letter so how would I list them. Just seems strange that all. looking for something better. Are there other sites I can look into?

I suggest you go to banknote news and buy their online catalogue. With a flat rate, you get 1 year updates and world banknotes. Quite good and worth it I find.
Be kind to people. Sharing is Caring. Collect what you like and not by the Crowd.
To seek for perfection, it is too painful and there is a very high price to pay. To seek for something comfortable is more easy. To seek for nothing is even more easy.
I agree, Colnect is probably the best we've got for now.

I have to say that their referee equivalents are really unhelpful and not the most friendly of people too- it took me four tries over six months to submit this ONE banknote to their catalogue.

4 tries!! I tried once to have a banknote added. I won't waste my time trying again. I know I own the note and it will be a small miracle if I am able to pull a second one from circulation.
How about trying realbanknotes.com? It's good, user-friendly and it's got image uploading. My POV at least.

Since looking at your banknotes on that site. I looked to see if it fits my needs. But same problem. How do I list more then one of the same banknote? I save American $1 By date and first letter of serial number and they only have it listed once.

Apparently you can't add more than 50 banknotes to your collection unless you contribute or something, which sinks it for me. B.

Really? I didn't know that!
Edit: I just realized that you can expand your collecton size by uploading images.
You also earn points by logging into the site every day (every day counts as 1 point). 5 points earned gets you an additional banknote that you can add .... I usually try to log in every day and as of today, I am eligible to load 95 banknotes.

I see.... but it seems really stupid to me- imagine if you could only add 50 coins to your Numista collection unless you logged in/contributed every day! x.

That's exactly why I will never use it again.

Agreed ... but in the absence of any other website (which is as good as Numista is for coins), I have no other option ... well then again, I have been using MS-Excel for cataloging my banknotes as an alternative.

Guess I will make a stump for "Notista" as well (I saw that being voted up in this forum - Xavier, please take note :) )

If you ask me that requirement is probably what's keeping the site from growing- how many other people were there like me, who were adding their collections there until they hit 50 and realised they had to do extra stuff to use the site?

B.
Thanks all, I agree with all of you. Calnect more or less said take it or leave. Realbanknote.com, after telling them how I collect my banknotes and what I needed. Even added a commit section for each banknote so I that I could add the information I wanted. Still not quit what I am looking for but they were very helpful. And all they want you to do is upload pictures of your banknotes. Don't know if I'll go through all that but at least they were a lot nicer and more helpful than Colnect.
I'll probably do what someone said and just list them on my spreadsheet and only list my doubles for swap. I also have them listed on my profile web site. So it works.
Again thanks to all that replied.

I saw banknotebank.com mentioned in the ‘post your latest baknotes’ thread. Might be worth a try.

Looks good but have register to take better look. I've requested registration but haven't anything back from them yet.

If it’s a good site I will probably register my collection there.
Here's my banknotebankbank: https://www.banknotebank.com/collection/Ngdawa
Nice! Does it allow you to add more than one of each banknote?

I can't get them to answer my request to join. Even sent them an email. So far nothing

You add your own pictures, so you can add whatever you want, basically. :P

Guess I need to keep looking, all this time and they still haven't answered, so not going to wait around. Maybe go back to RealBanknote. Just got to take the time to take pictures. What do you do just use your phone camera to take a picture and upload it? Never done it before. Thanks

Take a picture, go to Photoshop, use Perspective Cropping, crop it out, save it, post on Realbanknotes. Done.

Well guess that's out, that just went way over my head. Guess I could play with for awhile, maybe. But thanks

now i'm using a small scanner..some banknotes are too bkg though, so i have to scan them half-half and then edit them together..
I don’t collect banknotes, but I had the need to catologue many banknotes to be able to swap them for coins, and after some investigation I found that the only possibility was to use Colnet
I was able to insert my banknotes without too much pain
