Ilycke,
Any chance of some photographs of the banknotes. They seem fascinating

I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.

Wow, they look really cool. Never heard of them before. Are they a recognized banknote, or just like German/Austrian Notgeld?
Need a full explanation of there use.
Very interesting story coming I hope.

Great photos of some very interesting looking banknotes

I can’t give a full history, but the name “Gøglergæld” is best translated to “Circus-debt”

please Take a look, at the catalog of Christianias money. At https://christianiacoinbog.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/coinage-of-denmarks-free-state-christiania3.pdf

at page 80 there is a little about these notes.
Made some very interesting reading. Thanks
