Hello, I have this coin of Al-Adil I. It's in a poor condition. Could anybody help me with the date? I couldn't find the same inscription of years in internet . I was looking for Paul Balog's "Ayyubid Coinage" but couldn't find it either. Maybe someone can read the Arabic inscription.
P.S if somebody has got PDF or online version of Paul Balog's mentioned book, send it to me please.
Hi
Please can you add reverse coin?
Your coin looks like this:

Please give the diameter of the coin also. This may be a coin of his son, al-Adil Najm al-Din Ayyub ibn al-'Adil I with a date of 599.

yes, it's this coin.
Both father and son used identical center reverses on this AE coin.

https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/12-century-artuqid-dynasty-mardin-74582961 look, this one is identical to my coin. The inscription on obverse is same. Could you tell me the year, please? Also I couldn't find anything about Al-Adil's son's coin. Do you have any book about Ayyubid coinage? If you do, send it to me, please.

You have spotted correctly a match for your coin. Unfortunately, Worthpoint did not identify it. Künker does identify it, but not the year as the date is written in the outermost marginal legend that is not visible on that specimen. Below is #841 from the plates in Balog. Note the perfect match of characters above the center of the crown with your coin. This coin is from al-Awhad Najm al-Din Ayyub ibn al-'Adil I (596-607 / 1199-1210), Mayafariqin mint, dated 599 H.

Thank you very much. I was looking for Balog's book but couldn't find its free version and it's so expensive. Where could I check coins from his plates?

Balog's book is in copyright so is not available for free. The book is available for $40 to 53.

Wow! Y'all are quite amazing and definitely seem to see things I don't! I have no idea how you came up with the correct coin by viewing one that didn't appear the sane to my eyes! Maybe you'd be interested in looking at this crazy coin?! I see the letters PATRIA…
