The first thing I always do, is look at their feedback. If they have many positive feedbacks, then I could not see a promlem. If they have only a few feedbacks, you could request they send first.
At the end of the day, if you cannot reach an agreement, then you have gained some experience.
Negotiations are very important, so keep the conversations going.
They may have contacted you a second time, as you may not have replied to his first message. I reply, even if it is to inform the collector they have nothing of interest to me.
This is politeness, and it works, both ways
Just so you are aware you have a 'Suspicious Activities ' against your profile.
If you have done nothing wrong you need to get this sorted as other collectors will avoid you.
As to why someone would contact you twice, especially if you have replied is strange, but maybe, you have something they really want.
VieillePile,
I take a great offence to the fact that you think I am one and the same person as the others in this forum question.
You need to get your facts right before making this wild and rash statement.
I think a public apology would be acceptable.
But, I am the only 'coinman' of this forum question.
As he is a moderator for the Numista website, he should have more respect for members, before making that outlandish statement, and should therefore apologize on this forum.
I am not holding my breath waiting.

Do not spend energy on stupidities all around! Let's better spend energy on one, nice swap. I will open one. ;)
Every single coin on the world should meet its collector!
Yes, this kind of person is moderating.
On his spare time.
And reacts, perhaps overeact, sorry, when some kind of troll is opening a thread and responding to himself with one of his many user's ID, creating risks for the community. Some of these trolls may have hundreds of ID.
VieillePile,
Apology accepted.
You obviously know of these incidents with multi users, who are in fact the same person. I am, I'm afraid, fully unaware is this.
That is why my first reply was added, which would have been the same to any collector on this site. It was given to me when I joined and I believe it is sound advice.
Again, thanks for your honesty and response
Geoff
Thanks for your understanding.
Scammers, wannabe scammers and trolls are pretty numerous on the net and its a pretty heavy duty to chase them.
Thanks to the community many of them are reported but I have to acknowledge that in some cases I shoot to quickly, without checking as thoroughly as I would if I had time.
