World bank notes [gelöst]

I’m planning to expand my bank note collection and I’m thinking of some ways to do it.

should I go to my bank and get bills from there exchange section or...

should I go on eBay etc and get lots of world coins and bills and expand from there

and my bills of choice are

british
canada
australia
newzeland
bahamas
trindad
and other commonwealth country’s that feature the queen

- I would tap into whatever source works for you while trying to keep costs down & with one principle in mind & that is "quality over quantity."
- It's great you have a goal in mind (Commonwealth currency) so the next thing you may want to focus on is which denominations (while maintaining high UNC like grades). It will become more and more difficult to source nice crisp older series when sourcing notes from banks/exchange houses. I think you'll find some eBay sellers fairly inexpensive if you just keep searching. Some sellers offer extensive listings with either True Auction style Listings (TAsL) or Buy it Now (BIN). I use BIN for inexpensive fillers & TAsL for the tougher more expensive TPG (Third Party Graded) banknotes. Some sellers offer significant discounts on lots of 2 or more (which may pay down the road if you're open to swapping). That would be the odd occasion when buying extra might prove beneficial. I have often saved (in my Watch list) certain BIN listings & have had sellers offer further discounts (which I usually snap up). I cover some of these topics on my website Good luck!

One thing I forgot to include in my reply to this question is "Swapping banknotes" which I see Numista helps facilitate. Swapping banknotes is an inexpensive means to obtain a banknote (one doesn't have) if you can find a partner who is trustworthy & willing to:
a) to let go of decent/tough banknotes you want
b) provide accurate scans/photos of banknote with accurate description/label
b) knows how to package notes (& is agreeable to pay secure postage if the trade is for more valuable items)

​thank you for the help but I'm not a person to swap or get expensive graded stuff. i just want my collection to be decent quality coins i love. for coins if i can read the date and words and not be totally worn its a keeper. if the bills are not ripped up and creased to death then its a keeper. plus what money do i have to get expensive PCGS stuff I'm a 0 dollar coin collecting budget
