I bought a large lot of coins from an estate and there were a few hundred banknotes thrown in as a bonus. Among those I made an interesting find: 2 uncirculated Taiwan P# 1950 with consecutive serial numbers. My 2012 SCWPM lists P# 1950 UNC at $90 (US). Does anyone know how much consecutive serial numbers would be worth?

Has anyone made a better find in a bulk lot of banknotes?

It's a great find but there is really no premium on consecutively numbered banknotes (esp if notes are common). That is how the majority of banknotes are issued (so really nothing special). However, having said that, some collectors (esp newbies) seem to have a "thing" for them. Can't explain it - other than they may translate that "consecutive = UNC" (which isn't true). They can drive bids up. Older, scarcer issues will also sometimes command a slight premium above BV.

Thanks for the response! I'll hang on to them as a curiosity for now.

Chinese collectors like to collect consecutive #s, RADAR notes, and repeaters. They have a special name for each type of repeater.
